About the Order of the Eastern Star The Order of the Eastern Star is a fraternal service, social, and philanthropic organization. To join, a man must be a Mason, and a woman must be a wife or relative of a Mason. Travis Chapter is a local group affiliated with the Grand Chapter of Texas, which is part of the General Grand Chapter, the worldwide governing body.
